Happy Easter!!

Luke 24:6-7

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'

We spent a nice day with Grandma and Grandpa - a wonderful church service this morning, a great lunch, a nap for Peter, and hunting Easter eggs. In church this morning, we sang one of my favorite songs - I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin.

Peter has gone into the nursery without any tears or fuss the past couple of weeks. That makes it so much easier on me! We went to the 8:30am service, so we were home by 10:00am. Peter played while we cooked lunch, and then he took a good nap.

Grandpa enjoyed picking off all of the ham at the end!

After Peter's nap, we made Easter cookies. Then Peter looked at the goodies in his Easter basket before we went outside to hunt eggs.

Daddy and Peter hunted eggs in the backyard. Peter looked for eggs for a little while, but he really just wanted to see what was in the eggs and play. I think he found 8 or 9 of the 13 that I hid. There were little Elmo figureines (thanks Rebecca!!), stickers (again, thanks Rebecca!), cereal, and coins. When he found a sticker, he wanted to put it on. When he found cereal, he and Homer shared it. When he found money, he wanted to put it in the piggy bank or throw it in the grass so he could find it again.

Happy Easter 2009!

I'm so glad Peter enjoyed the figurines and stickers! I love his Easter basket... both the physical basket (it is so very hard to find ones that aren't too girly) and the Sesame Street theme. Very cool.

We sang the same song in church. Looks like fun. Wish we were there too!
